A collaborative effort. Different artists, poets, scientists and a dancer were asked to describe something to do with the subject of flight. The printing process is photocopy and offset lithography with pochoir, hand coloring and collage. One page is hand drawn on notebook paper. Another has vacu-formed acetate insect wings. A fish is printed in 3 colors. Special papers include kinwashi,Ingres, translucent vellum, acetate, shadow calligraphy and silver vellum. One artist included an extra printed sheet with stickers and instructions on how to fold a paper airplane. The covers of the book are handmade cotton paper with inclusions of bits from the garden and feathers. The paper was waxed and then glued to a rag base.
